Invicara Welcomes Louise Kelly as a Solution Consultant

We are excited to have industry veteran Louise Kelly join the Invicara team! We didn't waste any time tapping into her experience, and asked her about her thoughts on the direction of the industry. Here's what she had to say: The AEC industry is moving away from a sector where BIM is driven by designers and contractors. I believe this change in direction is coming from an increased awareness of environmental and personal responsibilities. Clients are becoming more data aware - aware of the value that information models can have throughout their building’s lifecycle. Capturing data in the design, construction, and commissioning phases of a building is a necessary step in achieving these goals. Information needs to be gathered in a unified way to avoid the usual scenario in which handover documentation is manually interpreted into facilities management systems, and lifecycle information goes un-captured. The availability of technology to measure and analyze how we use our built environment adds value to how clients design and use their future project - or adapt their current ones. With that said I am very excited to join a company as innovative and forward thinking as Invicara. I’ve spent more than 13 years in an array of design and construction roles where I’ve focused on digital transformations from a design and contractor perspective. Now, as a solution consultant for Invicara, I’ll use this knowledge to better inform clients as I help them capture their building/project information in a way that is consistent to their needs.
